When did you start working at The Little Lamb Christian School?: “May 2020″
How long have you been working with children? Tell us about your background.: “I have been working with kids of all ages since I was 12 years old, took a safesitter course and babysat local neighbors and family friends. When I was 17 I took my first job working at a daycare and loved every minute. In high school I had the opportunity to be a co-teacher my senior year for Kids Corner, which was a preschool that was lead by students during the school day. I also took a class that gave me the opportunity to work in a kindergarten room, and to this day I still go back and visit with my mentor teacher and her new classes every year.”
Education: “I am currently attending Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio studying Inclusive Early Childhood Education. This fall I will student teaching in an inclusive preschool and then the following year in the Fall of 2021 I will be student teaching in a classroom Kindergarten to third grade, grade level unknown as of now.”
Family: “My dad and I currently reside here in Carmel and my brother lives in Denver, Colorado.”
Hobbies: “I enjoy crafting of any kind, I found a love for wreath making and something called Diamond Art. Find me a Pinterest project and I will accomplish it!”
Favorite Candy: “Anything with dark chocolate, caramel, and nuts. Adding sea salt to that combination just makes it 100 times better”
Favorite movie: “Breakthrough”
Favorite Music: “Country and Modern Worship”
Something most people don’t know: “I have over 60 pairs of earrings.”
Why do you love to work with young children: “I love being able to create bonds and see the smile a child has when coming in in the mornings to see their teachers face knowing that it will be a good day.”
What do you enjoy most about working at The Little Lamb Christian School: “I enjoy how open the building is and that everyone is a team.”
Favorite bible verse: Romans 8:38-39 “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
