Every year, the pre-kindergarten class takes many field trips and one of the children’s favorites is to Conner Prairie. We had so much fun exploring this interactive history park on such a beautiful fall day. The children were able to do some farm chores like carry water, grind corn, string apples, and even lay a fence. It was hard work! They also learned what cabin life was like in the 1800’s. It felt like we were stepping back in time! They played with toys children of that era would have enjoyed: rolling a wooden hoop, tossing corn cob through a hoop, playing Jacob’s ladder, and spinning wooden tops. What a great way for the children to learn in a hands-on way!
