September 2018 Teacher Spotlight

Elisha Hall, Lead Teacher in Kitties Class (2 year olds)
When did you start working at The Little Lamb Christian School? October 30, 2017
How long have you been working with children? Tell us about your background:
“I started by volunteering as a teenager at church. Then, getting ministry jobs working with children of all ages. Mixed through all of the years are babysitting, nannying, and YMCA jobs to gain more experience. I have worked with children a little over 6 years in total as an adult.”
Education: “Advanced Studies Diploma from Rappahannock High School (Virginia). Attended Cincinnati Bible College and graduated in May 2010 with a degree in Bible and Youth Ministry.”
Tell us about your family: “I have 2 sets of parents, 1 older brother who is married and has a little boy, my nephew. I am close to my Mema. I call her quite often to talk. My husband is the sweetest, kindest, compassionate, best friend I have ever had. He is always there when needed most. We love to just spend time staying in or going out and doing activities together.”
Hobbies: “I love to draw, knit, read, laugh at my husband’s antics, play with Tank and walk Bear. Eric and I love to go camping.”
Favorite Candy: “Dark chocolate, skittles, or watermelon/spearmint gum.”
Favorite Movie: “Ever since I was 4 years old it has always been The Princess Bride. Dad would let me pick a movie to rent and I always picked this.”
Favorite Music: “KLove, Old Rock, Country, Disney Music”
Tell us something that most people don’t know about you: “I am ambidextrous in different activities. I bat left and right, write left and right. I use a fork in either hand. I do still prefer my right hand for many things, but do some things left handed, as well.”
Why do you love to work with young children?: “How can I not? They are amazing to watch as they grow, learn and change. I love watching them discover God and all the blessings he has to offer them”
What do you enjoy most about working at The Little Lamb Christian School?:
“The kids, teachers, atmosphere and the relationships that are here. There is so much that I enjoy!”
Favorite Bible Verse: “Recently there have been a few favorites. I have been leaning on 2 Timothy 1:7, ‘Having not a spirit of fear, but of love, power, and self-control.’ God has reminded me that being uncomfortable is okay for it is a time to grow, which led me to Isaiah 26:4, ‘Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.’ And my final verse that has been a huge help is Joshua 24:15b ‘But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Reminding me that marriage is work and as long as we both serve God and put each other 2nd to God that we are doing our best to serve God.”

We are so glad you are on our team here at Little Lamb!
