Keanna Murphy, School Chef

When did you start working at The Little Lamb Christian School?: August, 2017
How long have you been working with children? Tell us about your background: “I am a mother of four and have been working with kids for about four years. I’ve also volunteered at my kids’ school since my 13 year old was 6 years old.”
Education: “Le Cordon Bleu School of Culinary Arts is where I earned my culinary degree. I then went on to train at the National Restaurant Association to become a certified ServSafe Instructor.”
Tell us about your family: “I’m married to my husband, Warren, and have four amazing kids: Keyaria, Alixce, Larry and Davi. My husband is a licensed barber.  Keyaria and Alixce attend Northview Middle School while Larry attends Springmill Elementary. Our Davi is a little lamb in the Kitties Class.”
Hobbies: “Baking, DIY projects, Interior Design.”
Favorite Candy: “Reese’s and Payday.”
Favorite Movie: “The 10 Commandments”
Favorite Music: “I love all genres of music. Music has always been a great escape for me.”
Tell us something that most people don’t know about you: “I have been baking since I was 6 years old. Before I attended culinary school I self taught the craft and was modeling sugar sculptures and figurines by age 19.”
What do you enjoy most about working at The Little Lamb Christian School?: “Children are full of love and laughter and a joy to be around. I always say baking/culinary is my first love…it makes me so happy when I am able to share that love with the people I care about. Seeing how happy my food makes them feeds my soul. At Little Lamb, I have 80+ people I care for and to share my love with. It’s a wonderful feeling!”
Favorite Bible Verse: 2nd Timothy 3:16 “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.”
